Elevate AILA's Impact Together

As a candidate for the AILA Board of Governors and a current Chapter Chair, I ask for your support to make AILA integral to every member’s practice.

My goals are to:

  1. Foster a group culture and further strengthen our AILA community

  2. Promote a sense of belonging and connection by reaching out to members

  3. Provide timely, targeted, and practical educational programs and tools

  4. Make AILA even more accessible to all members via various types of programs

  5. Increase transparency in governance

  6. Develop a pipeline of new members and groom new leadership

I ask for your vote as candidate for Elected Director on the AILA Board of Governors.

My goal is to continue my mission of making AILA integral to every member’s practice by:

  • Providing critical resources

  • Enhancing cohesive community

  • Ensuring members have access to key governance information and have a channel to provide input

I serve as Chair of AILA New England Chapter (2024-2025) and have dedicated my efforts to increasing member engagement and to help develop a stronger community.

My goals as Chapter Chair this year have been as follows:

  • Increasing chapter cohesiveness through events not just at restaurants and bars, but through hiking, jogging, sailing, dancing, potlucks, book clubs, and fundraising throughout the NE states, recognizing members’ varied interests and schedules.

  • Increasing chapter programming to target areas to meet members’ needs.

  • Fostering a new pipeline of leaders on committees, webinars, and conference panels.

Some of the new initiatives I launched this year at the New England Chapter included:

  • Open Forum Series – a monthly forum to ask questions of AILA NE’s Government Committee Liaisons on practice before various agencies.

  • AILA New England Connected – a biweekly open forum to help members navigate the Trump Administration through bringing legal questions, practice management concerns, or just commiserating in general.

  • Immigration Lawyers Support Group – partnership with nonprofit Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers providing ongoing monthly counseling sessions with a licensed clinical professional.

  • Chats with Chapter Chair – a biweekly forum for members to drop in and learn about AILA’s resources and experts, and also for members to provide feedback about the chapter’s activities.
